the Natural Building project
where we go from here...

This page is a portal into the various other pages describing in more detail the materials and techniques to be used in the building project. These pages can be accessed via the links on the left.

The design of the building is an on-going process, as such the information on these pages may change as research and development continues. As information is added, changed or modified, it will be advertised in the updates page.

The building will be constructed to residential standards and code-approved. Since almost every element of the structure is currently outside the scope of the British Columbia Building Regulations I will be working with my engineer - David Romain - to ensure that we satisfy the intent of the regulations.

As each element of the design is completed, David and I will be meeting with the Planning Department in order that they fully understand the various materials and techniques. By doing so we hope to pave the way for future construction using these methods.
